(Feb.21.2013) Alfons Mucha

Today I’m feeling for some Czech art. These works are done by Alfrons Mucha, a Czech decorative painter and a leading artist of Art Nouveau movement. His work on illustrations, designs and ads gained commercial success in the early years, but Mucha wanted to be acknowledged of the artistic aspect. He spent a lot of years working on a series of huge paintings on Slavic history and became known for his deep nationalism, which caused him to go through harsh interrogations of the Nazis.

Hope you enjoy Mucha’s work, and have a great day!! :)
